Online Petitions

Petition to stop Greyhound Racing and abuse of millions of dogs - In Spain it's customary to sell former greyhound racers to hunters who keep them only for the duration of the hunting season. The dogs are then killed, usually by hanging: those who were good hunting dogs die quickly; less competent dogs are subjected to a slow and more agonizing death, sometimes taking hours to die.To see pictures click here .To learn more about canine situation in Spain click here

Petition against Puppy Mills -Puppy Mills and kitten mills are one of Americas worst things. Those poor dogs abused and bred over and over and over to make more puppies that are very sick too. Cramped in small cages, these dogs and kittens need your Help. Please sign the petition and show that your voice counts.

Online petition for the end of animal extermination by Brazilian Public Health Authorities - There is no Brazilian who never felt disgust at the sight of an animal being captured by the infamous dog catcher animal control truck in Brazil. And as if being captured was not bad enough, these animals are killed 3 to 15 days afterwards. The conditions of most of these public kennels are precarious and this fact, on its own, constitutes cruelty to the captive animals. To see picture click here

Petition to end torture and murder of cats and dogs in South Korea -In South Korea, it is common to eat dogs and cats. This is not done in a human manner, but by torturing them to death by hanging, strangulation and beatings with such objects as bricks, large rocks, heavy rod-like objects and electrocution. They do this for long periods of time in order to terrorize and cause great suffering to the animal. They die a very slow and painful death. This brutal execution is done to dogs, because many South Koreans believe the flesh from a dog who is tortured to death has aphrodisiac qualities and tastes better. Cats are boiled alive. To learn more, see pictures and videos visit the web sites below. The images on the web sites below can be very distressing:

Petition to stop the torture of St. Benard dogs in China - -A WSPA investigation in China has revealed a trend towards the gross intensification of the trade in dog meat, with millions of dogs passing through the hands of breeders and slaughterhouses every year. The Saint Bernard is the latest breed of pedigree dog to fall victim to the increasing commercialization of the dog meat industry, after producers of the most commonly eaten dog in China - the Mongolian Chinese Meat Dog - discovered the benefits of introducing a Saint Bernard strain into the meat chain. A Disturbing Account of the Cruelty to Dogs in Philippines - Charles Wartenberg, Director of the International Wildlife Coalition in the United Kingdom, recently returned from an investigative tour to the Philippine Islands. What he witnessed shocked and appalled him. Dog meat is consumed by humans in the Philippine Islands. The conditions these tortured creatures must endure before their deaths are incredibly horrible. Dogs are kept and transported tens or even hundreds of miles in the cramped, hot, small wire cages you see in the above photo. The animals receive no food or water and the cages can be seen stacked on top of one another in market places in temperatures in excess of 290C (900F). The web sites below contain very distressing pictures. At the end of the page you will know how you can help: http://compassionatetraveler.org/
