Dear Sirs:

I'm writing to urge you to take action in order to find alternative solution for Equine Carts in your city. Porto Alegre and Brasilia are metropolitan areas and it's unacceptable what has been happening to the horses.

It was brought to international attention that animals die on the streets, due to exhaustion caused by overloading of carts, illnesses and abuse by their owner. We also were informed that there is no governmental support in case of injured animals.

We understand that people need the horses to survive but we also understand that without education, the situation will become worse. Poverty cannot be used as justification to the brutal treatment to animals in your country.

I urge you to work in order to bring dignity and respect for horses in your city. As a tourist, I've chosen to send this pre-written letter to tell you that I won't spend my money in your country while it don't work in order to chance its policies about animals. And I will tell my friend do the same as well.
